Icons - Basics

In addition to the logo and the colors, there are further design elements which appear regularly on communications media and therefore specifically promote brand recognition. The following examples will show how these elements are used in a design.

There are three types of icon: Benefit icon, instruction icon, and prohibited-action icon. For each type, there is a specific basic color scheme which makes it possible to distinguish between the icons at first glance. These basic colors must not be altered. The contents of the icons are designed as illustrations depending on the product characteristics and country of use. The examples on the following pages can be used as the basis.
