GIFs have become a popular tool in digital communication, offering a quick and engaging way to convey messages and emotions. Our new Bayer Branded GIFs offer vibrant options to enhance your day-to-day interactions.

Here are five compelling reasons why you, as an employee, should consider using GIFs in your daily communications:

  • Grab Attention Quickly: GIFs are visually dynamic and can capture attention more effectively than plain text, ensuring your message stands out in a crowded inbox or chat thread.

You ROCK!

  • Enhance Engagement and Interaction: Incorporating GIFs can make your communications more engaging and fun, encouraging your colleagues to interact and respond.

  • Convey Emotions and Tone: A well-chosen GIF can add emotional depth to your messages, express feelings and reactions that words sometimes struggle to convey.

Create your own GIFs

When creating GIFs for corporate communications, it’s important to consider several key requirements to ensure they are effective, appropriate, and aligned with your brand.

  • Check for brand consistency (colours, typeface, etc.), and include the logo, where appropriate
  • Avoid GIFs that could be misinterpreted or deemed inappropriate for a professional setting
  • Optimize the GIF file size to ensure it loads quickly, keep it short (ideally between 2 to 6 seconds) and ensure it loops smoothly
  • If using text, ensure it’s large enough and contrasts well with the background for readability
  • Ensure that any images or videos used to create GIFs are copyright free or licensed appropriately

Commercial use is generally prohibited – especially direct mentions of sales offers, promotion of website addresses, QR codes, and links in the GIFs and/or images. However, GIFs celebrating or announcing the launch of something are fine. Always consult your Legal team when unsure. (not as a bullet point)

By keeping these requirements in mind, you can create GIFs that not only enhance your corporate communications but also resonate well with your audience and maintain a professional image.
