The new-look Identity Net is live!
The Bayer Identity Net has moved to a new content management system, bringing it in line with Bayer’s wider web presence including the global Bayer webpage. That is why the new Identity Net and the global Bayer webpage look very familiar – at least at a first glance and for web-oriented users.
Nevertheless, this platform migration will unlock a new level of functionality, integration and ease-of-use for the Identity Net. We also see it as the starting point of our journey to upgrade the Identity Net step-by-step to a real Brand Portal, bringing together the Identity Net, Digital Channels, Media Pool and the branding of e.g. the Crop Science products in one platform.
Please feel welcome to explore the new look and feel of the Identity Net webpage. For now, you may notice that some services – such as the e-cards – are missing. But we expect to restore these very soon and to match or even exceed the service package that you were used to on the old platform.
What has changed for users?
The first thing users will notice is a new look to the Identity Net homepage. The migration has given us the opportunity to update the appearance and layout of key Identity Net pages, ensuring all the most commonly requested information is available at users’ fingertips.
The essential elements of the Identity Net are still present – but we have updated how some of them are organized. This new structure is designed to reflect the latest trends and demands – for example, the assets and guides relating to digital media have been made clearer and more prominent. You can now reach the Digital Channels easily via the top navigation menu.
Having the same ‘back end’ for the Identity Net as well as Bayer’s external content means we can upload, store and categorize assets more efficiently, standardize the appearance of our websites, and easily integrate content between them.
Current status and future updates
This migration gives the Identity Net a new lease of life. We are determined to keep it as beneficial as possible for every user and to keep evolving the platform and adding new elements and functions. The Identity Net will also continue to be the home of news and essential information relating to the Bayer brand.
We are following a roadmap to complete the transition and make the remaining services available in the new Identity Net over the coming months. If something appears to be missing, please be patient – it is likely that it will be published soon.
As this process completes, we will keep you updated – so stay tuned to the Identity Net and be sure to explore the new site and take advantage of its upgraded functionality.
If you have ideas, suggestions and proposals for how to make the Identity Net even better, please let us know. We are looking forward to your comments. Have we gone into too much detail on a particular subject? Are topics still missing and not yet covered? Just let us know.
